Capacity Reset

You have tried the advice. So why does home keep falling apart?
Your child may already have support.
You have talked to the school, listened to the podcasts, saved the strategies, changed the routine, stepped in, backed off, lowered demands, raised expectations, and tried your hardest to stay calm.
But somehow, you keep ending up in the same exhausting Groundhog Day loop.
Your child is maxed out.
You are maxed out.
And everyone keeps feeding off each other.
Maybe it looks like arguing, resistance, refusal, shutdowns, blowups, or an emotional crash.
Or maybe it is quieter. Anxiety, withdrawal, sadness, irritability, exhaustion, or a kid who seems fine to everyone else but falls apart at home.
Then you lie in bed replaying everything, wondering what you missed and what you should have done differently.
You do not need another generic parenting tip.
You need clarity about the pattern you are stuck inside and where to interrupt it.

Two ways to reset

1) Virtual Capacity Reset
A private, focused session for the mom who needs help with what is happening right now.
We take the situation that keeps falling apart and slow it down together. We look at what happens before the hard moment, what may be draining your child’s capacity, how your own stress is affecting the loop, and why the usual responses are not working.
This is not about blaming you or your child.
It is not twenty more things for you to fix.
It is about helping you see the situation differently and find a starting point that fits your child, your family, and your actual life.

This may be right for you if:
-
Your child resists, argues, avoids, shuts down, melts down, or refuses, and nothing works for long.
-
Your child holds it together outside the home but crashes with you.
-
You feel like you are constantly walking on eggshells.
-
You cannot tell whether you are seeing anxiety, overload, demand distress, burnout, or a true capacity crash.
-
You are exhausted from reacting, second-guessing yourself, and trying to hold everything together.
-
You need someone to look at the whole picture and help you figure out where to begin.
Many of the families I support have autistic, ADHD, anxious, highly sensitive, or burned-out kids, teens, and young adults. Some also show strong demand-avoidant patterns.
Your child does not need a diagnosis for us to look at what is happening.

2) Capacity Practice: In Person

Awareness comes before change.
Capacity Practice is a small, in-person experience for moms who need a place to slow down, become present, and reconnect with themselves before they reach their breaking point.
This is not another class filled with information to remember.
It is time to step out of the noise and practice:
-
Guided meditation
-
Simple nervous-system resets
-
Self-awareness and presence
-
A brief Reiki closing when appropriate
You will leave with practices you can use in real life, including the moments when everyone needs something from you and you can feel yourself reaching capacity.
Coming soon in Downingtown, Pennsylvania.

You are not failing. You are at capacity.
When you can see the pattern clearly, you can stop reacting to every individual crisis and begin changing the loop.

What moms say about working with Tara
How has this work changed how you experience parenting your neurodivergent teen or young adult?

— Mom, Cynthia H.
“My stress level is much lower. I trust my teen’s path and pace now, and I know I can handle whatever comes our way.”
